CT License Plate instructions

ct license plate

You can transfer your existing Connecticut License plate to the SU design. If you want to use this opportunity to create a NEW vanity plate in conjunction with acquiring an SU plate, please reach out to Pete Gianesini at and he will follow up with you on next steps, as that requires an extra form and comes at an additional cost.

There are specific instructions in filling out the form to request an SU Alumni plate- please follow carefully. If you want to request plates for multiple cars, you need to print and fill out multiple forms.  Click here to download the form.

1) Check the first box, saying "Transfer my vanity, low number, or current marker plate to the Special Interest background- $65.00 FEE."

2) Fill out all fields starting with "CURRENT PLATE NO." through "ADDRESS AS APPEARS ON REGISTRATION" as well as "SIGNATURE OF REGISTRANT" and "DATE SIGNED" Please write as legibly as possible and be very careful with transcribing information such as the Vehicle Identification Number to eliminate delays.

3) Do not fill out "NAME OF SPECIAL INTEREST ORGANIZATION" or any of the fields on that line. John Lobon will fill out those fields as he is the point person for our Club with the DMV.

4) Send the completed form and a check for 65.00 made out to DMV to John Lobon, 3 April Way, Bloomfield, CT 06002. Again to be clear, the check is made out to DMV, but gets sent to John.

Please reach out with questions, thanks, and GO ORANGE!
