Rachel is currently the editor-in-chief at Bauer Publishing's J-14 Magazine, the highest-selling monthly teen entertainment magazine, where she booked Justin Bieber's first-ever magazine visit in May 2009. Prior to this, she was the entertainment editor at CosmoGirl Magazine, where she wrote, edited, and helped book celebrity features for the magazine and website. Her celebrity interviews include Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Vanessa Hudgens, and more…

Before she began her entertainment journalism career, the Chicago-born Rachel worked in publicity at The WB Television Network from 1999 to 2002 as the photo publicity coordinator. She also interned at the Dawson’s Creek writers’ office, Nickelodeon’s talent relations and production departments, Comcast’s television development division, Buena Vista Pictures’ marketing department, and the UCLA Center for Communication Policy.
Her reporting, writing, and photography has appeared in In Style, Glamour, Alternative Press, YM, TV Guide, Teenage Buzz, Audrey (Asian American women’s lifestyle magazine), USOpen.org, TheWB.com, Daily Record, The Post-Standard, and Clear Channel Online Music and Radio's network of sites. Rachel also edited Buzz Marketing's monthly buzzReport.

Rachel graduated magna cum laude from UCLA in 1999 with a bachelors degree in communication studies and a business administration specialization. Following her tenure at The WB, she earned her masters degree in magazine, newspaper, and online journalism from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2003. She's served on the judging committee of the prestigious journalism industry Mirror Awards for the last four years.
