| Guarneri String Quartet |
|
We are proud to start our 55th season with a concert by the Guarneri String Quartet.
In their 41st year and recognized as one of the best quartets in the world, they
perform practically all of the traditional and many of the contemporary quartets. Their
technical power is accompanied by superb musicianship.

| Czech Nonet |
|
The Czech Nonet is one of the oldest and most original ensembles of the world. It was founded in
1924 by a group of students of the Prague Conservatory. The combination of four string and five
wind players enables them to offer a great variety of programs.

| Mendelssohn String Quartet with Robert Mann |
|
Founded in 1979, the Mendelssohn String Quartet has established a reputation as one of the most
vital and exciting quartets of our time. They will be joined by Robert Mann who was first violinist
of the Juilliard Quartet for 50 years.

| Ying Quartet |
|
The quartet was formed two decades ago by four siblings. They are Quartet-in-Residence at both
Harvard University and the Eastman School of Music. The group has brought its insightful music
making all around the world, winning acclaim for its brilliant performances and interpretive power.

| New York Chamber Soloists |
|
This ensemble of string and wind players has performed several times with great success in Syracuse.
This concert will feature trumpet player Scott Thornburg in music by Handel, Vivaldi as well as Bach's
Brandenburg Concert No. 2.

| Gryphon Trio |
|
This Canadian Trio was formed in 1992 by former students of the Curtis Institute, Juilliard School,
and Indiana University. Touring and recording extensively, the Gryphon is recognized as one of North
America's foremost piano trios.
