Curriculum

This dual program requires the completion of 81 credits taken over three years, with 6 credits of shared core content and 9 credits of shared electives across both programs.

The MBA program accepts two core MPH courses for its degree, namely PHP 627 in place of MBC 629/30 and PHP 630 in place of MBC 638. The 9 credits of shared electives must have relevance for both programs, including one course fulfilling the social justice learning outcome in the global health concentration of the MPH.

MPH requirements include a public health-related practicum that can be done at any time after the first year of study. For more information about opportunities and requirements of each program, please visit the MPH and MBA program pages.

The MPH program is accredited by the Council of Education for Public Health (CEPH), the independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit academic public health programs.

The MBA program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The Whitman School, accredited since 1920, was the 16th business school in the U.S. to receive AACSB accreditation. AACSB is the world's largest network and global standard-setting body for business education and is recognized worldwide as the highest standard of quality.
