First-Year Student
Apply as a first-year student to begin at Syracuse University after secondary school. Be sure to submit your application by Jan. 5. You may be able to apply after Jan. 5 if space is available in your program.
If Syracuse University is your first choice, consider applying Early Decision. As an Early Decision I or Early Decision II candidate, you agree to enroll at Syracuse University if admitted to your preferred college. You may apply to other colleges and universities under a standard or early action plan, with the understanding that you will withdraw these applications if admitted to your first choice program at Syracuse University. Early Decision I candidates are typically notified of their admission decision prior to Jan. 1, with Early Decision II applicants being notified by early February.
Transfer Student
If you are an international student with more than 12 hours of college credit, you may be eligible to transfer to Syracuse University. Transfer students need to apply by July 1; however, we encourage you to apply as early as possible to receive full consideration for admission and housing. Enrollment in some colleges and programs may be limited. Complete transfer applications will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee once they are received.
Spring Semester Student
The application deadline for spring enrollment is Nov. 15. However, spring enrollment is on a space available basis, so we encourage interested students to apply earlier. Please be aware that some programs and colleges are not available for spring enrollment.
