What To Expect

Plan to spend the day learning what it means to be a Syracuse University student. The day begins with check-in between 8:30-9:00 a.m. and runs through the early afternoon. Agenda includes:

  • Welcome session and video introduction
  • College information sessions
  • Lunch and Campus Life Expo
  • Campus tours
  • Opportunities to explore the colleges and other University offices

We recommend casual dress and comfortable shoes. Be prepared for all types of weather.

Spring Reception Schedule

8:30-9:00 a.m. Check-in: Refreshments will be available   Schine Student Center
9:15 a.m. Welcome: Join fellow admitted students and families for a warm welcome that includes an introduction to academic and campus life   Schine Student Center
10:00 a.m. College Sessions: Academic deans, faculty and students will present program facilities and opportunities. Dually admitted students may attend the morning college session of their choice. Groups will be escorted to the JMA Wireless Dome at the conclusion of the College Session. Staff will lead you to your college location
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch and Campus Life Exposition: Enjoy lunch at the JMA Wireless Dome. Visit with representatives of the colleges, campus departments and student organizations. JMA Wireless Dome
12:45 p.m. Campus Tour Option 1: Join us for a guided campus tour led by a student ambassador from our University 100. Tours last approximately one hour. JMA Wireless Dome
1:00-2:30 p.m. Campus Tour Option 2 (leaves every 15 minutes): Join us for a guided campus tour led by a student ambassador from our University 100. Tours last approximately one hour. 401 University Place
2:00-2:45 p.m. Student Housing and Living Learning Communities   Schine Underground
1:30-3:00 p.m. Design Your Afternoon: Visit another college or learn more about campus resources.  

Shuttle service from Main Campus to the Skytop parking lot is offered noon–4:30 p.m. Shuttles depart from College Place.

Admissions staff will be available from 1:30 - 4 p.m. at 401 University Place to answer questions and hear about your day.
