Nutrition Services
If you have nutritional concerns, we offer you a variety of options, including access to a registered dietitian who can help you with menu development, provide nutritional information and assist in planning your dietary needs, such as managing food allergies.
To contact our dietitian, email mealtalk@syr.edu.
For confidential counseling regarding clinical nutrition and body image issues, you're encouraged to contact the staff dietitian at the Barnes Center at The Arch at 315.443.8000.

Sustainable Syracuse
Campus Dining continually strives to eliminate waste. Some of our green practices include:
- Collaborative composting with the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency
- Reusable to-go containers for students on meal plans
- Deep reduction of single-use plastic: Single-use plastic items have been mostly phased out of dining centers, including takeaway cups, lids, and straws
- Dining centers utilize large-volume dispensers for condiments and coffee creamers, and have phased out individual servings
- Compostable cutlery, plates, straws, and cups are used at all retail locations, in catering, and at residential dining centers
- New York State has begun transitioning away from natural gas-powered appliances. Campus Dining renovations are making the same transition. Whenever a dining area is renovated or new equipment is installed, electric equipment replaces old, natural-gas powered appliances.
- Campus Dining has worked hard to add more plant-based proteins to its menu, featuring Beyond Meat products in particular. Every entree station features a plant-based or vegan option.
